Maghery, a small village and vibrant community perched on the west coast of the Rosses area of Donegal, is an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by beaches, islands, lakes, hills, caves and sea arches. It is rich in historical heritage with monuments dating from 5000 years ago as well as a variety of habitats that support abundant wildlife.
Ionad an Mhachaire - Maghery Community Centre
Ionad an Mhachaire, is at the heart of the community and caters for locals and tourists alike. Opened in 2006, it caters for the community's needs seven days a week. It is the logical starting point for any activity in the area and the best place to look for local advice. In the summer months, a cafe operates from here. Facilities include car parking, children's playground, public toilets, heritage room, recycling facilities and access to Maghery's beautiful beach.
